At STEAMplay Studios classes, kids don’t sit and listen to us talk about Science. They build, code, craft, test, and try again. Our sessions mix Science, Tech, Engineering, Art and Maths in playful projects that grow real, repeatable skills. Zero worksheets. Maximum wonder.

Clay meets circuits. Paint meets micro:bit. We blend creativity with engineering so every project is as imaginative as it is clever- think LEDs, sensors, recycled builds, and story-rich design.
Every term, a new lens on learning
Coding and crafting are our tools; science is our lens. Each project spotlights a strand: Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Earth & Space so kids make and truly understand the science of the world around them.
Eco-Smart Making
We champion upcycling and natural materials. Kids learn to design with care, meaning less waste, more ingenuity.
Meet the Teachers
​Hi! We’re Tamsyn and Valdis- the husband-and-wife team behind STEAMPlay Studios. Based on the beautiful Redlands Coast, we’ve spent nearly a decade teaching and inspiring learners of all ages, from toddlers to university students. Since having our own little boy in 2023, we wanted to provide him, and other kids with the opportunity to access lifelong play, so we’re on a mission to make STEAM learning fun, meaningful, and accessible for kids and teens who love to explore and get creative.
